it has officially come to a point where i dread attending school. the whole novelty of waking up early in the morning by the chirping of the birds or even the snooze of the alarm clock in preparation for a great day at school with friends doesn't seem to be applicable any longer. it isn't as enticing as before. i guess it's the whole dreadful routine that we have to go through every day, whether we like it or not. and somehow, it sets me thinking why do we have to do all this? i mean.. what's the point
it puzzles mehow nice it'd be if we could retreat from this hectic lifestyle to the country side. perhaps spend theday sipping tea and eating jam and bread for breakfast, sitting comfortably on the garden chairs and in the vast fields simply enjoying the company of your loved ones. or paying attention to the scenic landscape of rivers and lakes brimming with vitality, the ever-winding hills and valleys, and the golden host of dancing daffodils in the breeze that caresses your face so gently. to speak of art and literature, thy shalt appreciate the finer things in life. not paying attention to little details, but to the whole picture that captures the essence of everything; to grasp the intangible moments of our emotions and pin it down, artfully into a verse which speaks of such ephemeral beauty.

saturday (7th jan). kinda grabbed it from my sis's blog. hehe.. too lazy to write again.While having dinner at Long Beach today, my sis and I were commenting on everyone and everything as usual. It was hilarious and we continually burst out into fits of uncontrollable laughter! There was this family on the left with a girl and a
hitherto-unidentified member of the human species. We were observing how
intimate they were, yet the unidentified member looked like a girl. But my sis and I could be wrong. Unless the parents were that open, because they actually seemed quite happy!
Then there was another table of 3 who were spaced really rather far apart from each other. They were
eating in silence, two asians and an ang moh.
Eating seafood in silence?! That's the worst! Anyway, the ang moh seemed...bored with his crab and I was tempted to go over and finish it up for him! The horror of it all.
While crapping with each other and getting our hands downright dirty, I came up with a
"brilliant" scheme that I shared with my sis.
It was on the issue of marriages. I was thinking, it'd be really funny if my guests were invited to a mega posh place for my wedding, and they'd be all dressed up in suits and gowns, and surprise surprise, they get served seafood! I'd start with the prawns first, so I could watch my guests trying to use their utensils to shell the prawns (I think the SMU people would be really good at it). Next, I'd serve lobster, and watch as some people still struggle with their utensils, and others beginning to use their hands. Then the crabs would come out, and it'd be hilarious watching elegantly clad guests eating with their hands! Meanwhile, I'd be taking a video...mmm...what a wicked idea! Now to find the groom to do the job..My sis and I were laughing so hard and relating this to my mum, when she added her two cents worth. My mum can really be so funny! So she said, you know, there's always the baby photos to be seen right, so the first dish that can be served is a sweet-pacifier. Now that's for starters. And when it comes to the yam seng part, we could all do it with milk bottles! That's a rather novel idea...anyone game for it? And I'd get a huge kick out of that, and my wedding would be the most talked about one of the year!
HAHA ((: cheers. time for a good bath now. with the smell of crab and lemon juice on your hands. hmmmm...

alright, here i am back from slumber! haha no more hiatus darlings! (:
rarr.. i shall do a quick update about my weekend [i must be quite bored to even update] hehe.
fri (6th jan)our usual clique slacked around in school, dreading to go for lessons because somehow the teachers just
refuse to turn up for lessons for a55. out of boredom, some of the bowlers went up to one of the ip classes to rest because it's so conducive for sleep especially in this rainy season where the pitter-patter of the raindrops on the window panes have some kind of 'enchanting' effect to lure you to dreamland! the balinese styled-furnishing at the back of the classroom coupled with water features and the feel of nature is absolutely relaxing. it just makes me think of the spa in korea!
after school, matt, diane and me went to parkway to shop for a bowler's present. after which we met keefe and haojin there where they finally decided on some very errr
'interesting' gift which shld not be elaborated further. yea, then we ate at
yoshi where memories of
first 3months just trickled down my mind, the times where we had og lunch exactly a year and one day ago from this very day. nostalgia sets in and it distances you away from the present.
went home to change and joined jo, j.low, daryl and shaun at carl's junior. guess what? my dear sis was there too! (: omg [quotes travis. HAHA] it's such a small world! as usual, we got excited and rattled on, and that made shaun very surprised cause he said that it's the first time he saw anyone reacting like that when she sees her sis every day. hehe (: then my sis's friend actually believed that i was her long lost friend and he was made to say a pickup line of "do you want a raisin or a date?" which he didn't succeed. haha. anyway, after eating, we left for suntec for the mass dance which we thought we wld be late for. so the 5 of us were running after daryl who is superbly fast [cause he has long legs] haha.. even shaun was complaining.
when we reached suntec, it rained but that didn't dampen the spirits of victorians.
true blue victorians, mann. so we waited for the rain to stop and then we did the mass dance. out of which i only knew 'whiney' and 'i want you' and something else lah! OMG the j1s are really enthu, much more than what we were last year. somehow i just preferred last year's one. (: oh btw, even the suntec security guard was
VERY HIGH. he was dancing madly and he told us
"come on, let's start the party, let's dance, shake your booties.." i thought that's really funny. or rather queer for a 50plus year old mann.
hehe. after that we went to chill out at starbucks. while my sis and her friends were at pacific cafe. imagine if i went there, which i really wanted... that will be meeting my sis 2 times in a day! that's way coool. no wonder we're sisters! (: yeah, then lance came and he was entertaining us with his lame jokes of 'happy' and that made me quite happy when i got the first one right. haha reminds me of deyang cause i always can get his jokes. MERRY CHRISTMAS!i'm now in
Decksan Spa Castle enjoying a white christmas!
guess what i saw? i saw alot of........................ women in their birthday suits in the changing room before we went for the spa! it was such a horrendous experience. they were in all sorts of shapes and sizes. i had no choice but to see accidentally cos there were tons of them!!! eeewww...
same goes for guys too. but i didn't see anything of course because the rooms were separate!
it's really hard to find computers here cos you need to pay alot of money for usage. ahhhhh i'm broke. but........ i really love the mud soap here so i bought a few here! (: oh did i say that the rooms are like suites? they have 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a toilet and a dining hall and a balcony whom someone wants to climb over! haha LOL!
AND THERE'S THIS IRRITATING PERSON WHO KEEPS WALKING ABOUT AND STARING AT ME! HURHUR I SHALL MAKE HER WAIT.... (: ALRIGHT, I SHALL GO NOW.

and some weird fishy smelling gel spread on my face for 3 mins.
eeewww i cldnt stand the smell. luckily it wasnt for long..

i woke up late again :X
anyway, went to the sinseh to get some medicine for my gastric problems and then
grocery shopping at the big supermarket in marine parade where we spent
80plus dollars on necessities! haha how amazing. it's really shocking to find that lil things can add up to so much!
gahh.
after which, i met ta and we walked around parkway. it has new shops - topshop, dorothy perkins and m)phosis! how cool is that? like parkway finally has it! :D rejoice! haha.. then i went mad as usual and ta had to calm me down. (oopseh!)
anyway, was supposed to meet impy after that but didnt. anyway hope impy's job interview went well (: and your m'sian relatives too! haha..
yeah, so i reserved some stuff at topshop that i have yet to collect and then ta and i went to bugis village to walk around cos she said she'll bring me to a place with great deals! haha that place is quite cool.. like some pasah malam that is opened even in the day! ((: didnt know that it had an air-conditioned second floor! anyway we walked around the whole place, but we still didnt buy anything! ((: i wanted this rattan bag but it was a total rip-off cos that lady shop owner charged me such a high price that's practically daylight robbery! so we moved on to bugis and got our
free beverage on
starbucks and then walked and walked and walked and walked.... till we finally sat down to rest! :D talked quite a bit and it was rather hilarious. it's so amazing how you feel this affinity with someone although you havent kept in touch with her for eons. it's just the feeling of being at ease with someone, and perhaps speaking your mind.
then i heard someone calling "ying ying" from behind and guess who it was! it's
deborah who came back from trinity ytd. ahh miss her lots, and i realised we havent really kept in touch since p6! oh mann how time flies! but she's still as bubbly as before, with her fav phrase being 'piece of shit'. haha :D those were the jolly ole memories of us being so childish! (:
going out with ta has made me think alot, reflecting on my actions and my attitude towards life. she's such a positive-minded girl who is contented with the lil things in life, seeking for happiness in everything she does.
a life of bliss and contentment, not yearning for what's unreachable. and it's this attitude which i really admire. one that's full of individuality, full of talia-lism (as what i call it). her attitude towards family, her warmth that's so infectious, and her good-naturedness.
it's just so... natural.to

yaye, this hols haven't been too bad either. caught up with my sec four friends, bowlers, friends from vj etc (: need to catch up with lots of other pple too (: and maybe
you. yes YOU there!haha (: ok im really high todayanyway was supposed to go out with ta today but my tumtum wasnt well last night, so yeah, postponed it.
and shu's having blisters so cant go out. and im having them too :X
lol.. too much of walking dont do you good. hehe
so i woke up at 1pm today and then got changed and went to get longjohns for 49dollars each (as in the top. not both top and bottom) and winter stockings. yeah kinda broke cause it costs so muchhh!!! and im quite pissed with the salesgirl cause she made me try so many, and after i got changed and all. so my hair was in a mess, especially having a bad hair day today! grr..
after that, i went to meet zhiqi and we went to eat and then walk around to shop for my stuff! (oh no it's my stuff AGAIN!) haha we tried on some clothes for fun and took quite a few pics in the dressing room! it was rather fun. that girl wanted me to bring EARRINGS for her after her dance prac. haha so vain. ooh lala..oh well knowing her for so long, it's...er expected! haha ((:

btw, i'm in love with this season's mango's and fox's clothing (thou i dont like fox..never did like in fact) and i really want that pretty victorian-styled top! (: walked around and bought this cardigan thing which is a really good buy! :D quite proud of it. heh
i have an obssession with coats. esp denim jackets and furry coats, or those checkered kind which make you look sophisticated. haha
